I did see some of the attempts at humour about this on the Facebook feed. Poor attempt - I was not amooooosed :)

Saw a high speed train in Wales the other day. Went so fast it went past-your-eyes as fast as you could blink ...think about it!

Whilst on the suject of Welsh railways. Has anyone caught up with the 4 programmes broadcast on BBC 2 Wales at 730pm on Tuesdays ?
Living in Portishead I get my Freeview from Wenvoe. Called Beating Beeching'  they feature footage never seen before on TV.Unusually The earlier programmes are ALL available on i player. A browser  search for Beating Beeching will bring them up.

Well I was affected by the cows!!!!!! Had to be fetched from parkway not meads!

However ........... time to open another pun....

the next day there were horses on the line between port talbot and bridgend ............ and I was affected yet again.....

i drove yesterday and will be picked up from wales today to prevent a herd of sheep or a plague of locusts

Hmmm ... I can trace delays due to lion, sheep, cows, horses, puma, badger and deer.  Have I missed any?

We've had swans in the Exford area as well I believe.

The "E"  in on the end of my forum name is the first letter of my surname to tell me apart from all the other "Graham"s who are around on other forums - it's a name I use elsewhere as well as here.  I'm really not fussed whether I'm referred to with or without the "e"

I was once held up on an HST approaching Reading by a pigeon that had flown through an open window, as the train was moving, and was in the vestibule between First Class carriages.  We'd come to a halt anyway (we were approaching Reading after all...) and they'd obviously decided to get rid of the fare-dodger before pulling into the station. TM announced the reason for the extended pause with a tone to his voice that was somewhere between sheer annoyance and mild humour.

Does anyone else remember Dick Dastardly and Catch the Pidgeon? I was about to post the lyrics of the classics of the classic on the forum but realised it may infringe copyright :)
