(3 December 2011) Post by: John R on December 03, 2011, 21:07:50 The 1632 would certainly have had capacity as it was 5 coaches, due to the rugby in Cardiff (and indeed wasn't even full leaving Cardiff as the stadium was considerably slower than usual to empty).
As an aside, in the morning the 1001 from Nailsea into Bristol (2 coaches) left around 20 unable to board as it was completely jammed inside with Xmas shoppers. (3 December 2011) Post by: Timmer on December 03, 2011, 21:48:13 BBC Points West reported an extra 30K visited Bath today which isn't unusual for the time of year with the Christmas market. Even with a small percentage of these extra visitors using the train would have ensured services to/from Bath would have been busier than usual though I'm sure any town/city was a busy day today.
