DO YOU KNOW THIS MAN? BRITISH TRANSPORT POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION AFTER THEFT OF CASH ^ DEVON

British Transport Police officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a man they would like to speak to following the theft of cash from a passenger^s wallet on board a train in Devon.

Officers have today released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place on Friday, 30 September 2011.

Sgt Dave Mannion, investigating officer, said: ^The victim, a 36-year-old man from Exmouth, boarded the 1050hrs Exmouth to Barnstaple service. He got off the train at Exeter Central rail station and, a short time later, he realised he had left his wallet on board and alerted rail staff. The guard on board the train found the missing wallet but around ^700 was missing from it.

^Enquiries are ongoing and, after viewing CCTV images from on board the train, I am keen to speak to the man pictured in these stills as I believe he will have information which I believe can assist this investigation. It is thought he travelled on the train to its destination, Barnstaple. I would ask anyone who knows the man^s identity, or his current whereabouts, to contact British Transport Police in confidence.^

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40, quoting incident reference B9/WWA of 24/10/2011. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

He did n't rob you at some time, did he ?    I hope you can bring him to mind eventually and are able to positively identify and report him.

Just to do the legal "due diligence", the police have said that they would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV footage. He has not at this stage (to the best of my knowledge at least) been charged with or convicted of the crime mentioned and therefore remains innocent in the eyes of the law.

He could well have been a witness and not guilty of anything I know I'm not a mod on here but I did panic when I read that, I did some research and came across this page going off topic
