Title: wednesday 13th october signal.problems at ufton nervett Post by: BerkshireBugsy on October 13, 2011, 06:05:18 Got delayed going home last night on the 1706 pad to btm but the main reason for posting this is that on arrival at tba there was a charter ain travelling in the other dritection comprised of what appeared to be old style (cream and brown) dining cars. Did anyone else see this? I believe it would have been deisel hauled as I don't remember hearing any "steam like" noises

It looked very nice - it was crawling (possibly due to congestion ahead) so it is possible it was still a steam loco but think I would have remembered if it was. It looked very posh - I suspect the catering arrangements were a little bit up market (and more expensive) than what I am used to on my daily commute into London.
