Title: 8 into 2 will go Post by: bobm on October 10, 2011, 19:59:22 From FGW Website
Quote 18:51 London Paddington to Oxford due 19:48 This train will be formed of 2 coaches instead of 8. Last Updated: 10/10/2011 18:02 I assume that by doing this FGW avoid a "fine" for cancelling a service - but is this really sensible. While a full length HST might be an over-provision, is running the service with just two a prudent thing to do? The fact the service is running raises people's expectations when in reality it is likely to be full and standing and boarding will not be possible.
