Title: 09.57 Exeter St Davids to Reading
Post by: DevonTrains2008 on October 05, 2011, 14:26:59
Just wondering how the busy the 09.57 Paddington train is likely to be tomorrow morning - am I likely to get a seat?
Cheers  :)

pop to a ticket office this evening, get yourself a seat reservation, guaranteeing you a seat. If the train isnt busy, move and sit wherever you fancy.

Not if you have an advance fare although I note you said evening by which time it will be too late to book.  There are still 3 hours 20 minutes to book an advance fare though.

I'll be rolling up and buying the ticket tomorrow morning as I need flexibility.  I don't live in Exeter so unfortunately can't pop to the ticket office anyway   :-\

Normally reasonably busy, can't imagine it being too bad at this time of year though.

If you're definitely going to take that train but can't make a seat reservation, this is all a bit academic really isn't it?

Why not book the flexible ticket online and ask for a seat reservation. Then collect said ticket at EXD?
