Title: What sort of fault.. Post by: bobm on September 30, 2011, 19:11:18 FGW Website
Quote 16:36 London Paddington to Plymouth due 20:14 This train has been revised. It will no longer call at: Newbury and Hungerford. This is due to a train fault. Last Updated: 30/09/2011 17:10 Trying to work out what's behind this. Can't be a problem with selective door opening as Newbury can take a full HST. It might be another train broken down and occupying the platform line at Newbury - but why would that affect Hungerford? Train called at Pewsey so can't have been diverted. Perhaps I just have too much time on my hands...... ;D Title: Re: What sort of fault.. Post by: ellendune on September 30, 2011, 20:19:05 Is it just trying to pick up time. There are likely to be alternatives to Newbury and even Hungerford, but not Pewsey.
