Title: Heavy delays Tuesday evening 27/09
Post by: phile on September 27, 2011, 21:23:14
Noted many delays, even in excess of 90 minutes, between Severn Tunnel Jcn and Pilning due to safety checks and also lineside equipment (presumably signalling)  problems between Gloucester and Bristol Parkway.    As if passenegrs hadn't suffered enough in the area as a whole on Monday morning  (See over-running Engineering Works thread)

There was a defective set of points at Westerleigh Jn earlier, an emergency speed restriction was put in place and then a possession was taken to rectify the fault, which I believe took longer than anticipated.
