Title: First bus route 234 weekly ticket? Post by: Heart-of-Wessex on August 24, 2011, 16:51:37 Hello all,
I am wondering, does anyone commute on the route 234 (Frome - Chippenham) between any of the stops? I ask as I am wondering what ticket you use? My partner is due to do a training session at Asda in Melksham and if he gets it, he will use the 234 from Trowbridge - Melksham and back to commute every day, but is there such thing as a 'season' ticket? I know first to FirstWeek and FirstYear tickets but looking at the website, this only seems to operate in cities! Is there such thing as a FirstWeek on the 234 or is it pay ^3 every day for the return? Any help appreciated! Regards, James. Title: Re: First bus route 234 weekly ticket? Post by: grahame on August 24, 2011, 17:04:09 Bus fares seem to be even harder to find online that train fares :-\
I live in Melksham ... use the 234 from time to time, and also (don't forget) the competing X34 from FareSaver, the 235 and the ZigZag. Bus fares seem high in our area - I'm quite surprised it's only 3 pounds return between Melksham and Trowbridge; I think it's over a fiver for the few miles to Devizes ... Suggestion - send a p.m. to Sion - a regular bus user from Melksham - he may well have a quicker answer than I do (he uses the 272 / X72 route). Title: Re: First bus route 234 weekly ticket? Post by: inspector_blakey on August 24, 2011, 17:09:25 Website isn't overly informative - it looks like that journey crosses the boundary between two of their geographic zones within which ten-journey/weekly tickets are issued. There is an 'AvonPlus' area shown on the map but no fares that i can find.
