Title: All aboard the Brangelina Express! Post by: Timmer on August 16, 2011, 17:05:01 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2026479/Angelina-Jolie-Brad-Pitt-charter-entire-train-London-Glasgow.html
Quote They've been more than happy to mingle with the general public at the theatre and while out shopping. But Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided that their family's five hour journey to Scotland should be done away from prying eyes and autograph hunters. And they clearly decided that taking over a first class carriage wasn't going to be enough for their brood - so they chartered the entire train instead. The A-list couple and their six children were snapped arriving at Euston station this morning in a large black people carrier and surrounded by bodyguards and members of their entourage. They were then taken to their Virgin train and got comfortable for the long journey to Scotland, where Brad is set to film scenes for his new film World War Z. I take it no scheduled train services were cancelled to allow this slight over indulgence to happen. Title: Re: All aboard the Brangelina Express! It's not as if the two places look especially alike, Glasgow has hills and roads that bend. Title: Re: All aboard the Brangelina Express! Post by: JayMac on August 16, 2011, 17:58:13 Looks like Brad and Angelina may've taken advantage of this service offered by Beardie Rail:
http://www.virgintrains.co.uk/train-hire/ Now, I wonder how much that cost? Should I enquire and see about organising another Coffee Shop trip? Who fancies a Bendyleano to Crewe? Title: Re: All aboard the Brangelina Express! Post by: inspector_blakey on August 16, 2011, 18:13:41 I know they have a considerable flock of little 'uns, but I'm still not sure you could deem hiring an entire Pendo for a single family as 'low carbon travel' despite the claims on the train hire page!
Title: Re: All aboard the Brangelina Express! Post by: JayMac on August 16, 2011, 18:20:09 Running, no doubt, in one of the relief paths on the WCML identified by GNWR (http://www.alliancerail.co.uk/gnwr/). I bet Virgin are quite keen to hold onto those paths.....
Title: Re: All aboard the Brangelina Express! Post by: inspector_blakey on August 16, 2011, 20:23:41 The PA new feed describes Pitt's arrival as 'low key', with him travelling by Virgin Trains. Technically correct I suppose, but made me smile.
