The Train Manager goes through his pre-departure announcements. "Passenger should ensure they have the correct ticket ... we do not have discression on leisure advanced tickets, which are very good value but totally inflexible, and if you are on the wrong train you are them liable for the very expensive full single fare ..." A Plymouth train manager has been suspended recently for simply doing his job properly, a mother and daughter were on Leisure advance tickets and on the wrong train, he told her that she would need to buy another ticket and she refused, gave him a load of verbal abuse, she was then asked to leave the train (correct procedure) at the next staffed station, he was then suspended "pending investigation", for simply following the rules set out by the company!The Train Manager goes through his pre-departure announcements. Post by: Tickets Please on November 04, 2007, 20:02:21 i know a few tm's that do a similar announcement before leaving Pad in particular on the weekend. At least those that like the cheap fare but dont like the restrictions know the score. its hardly fair on those people who make the effort to board the right train that others just pay no heed whatsoever to the restrictions on those tickets.
