I am curious to know what the Unit off this service dors neat.   I believe it is a 153 but unable to find anything from Westbury the next morning even.       I did consider forming or attaching to 22 32 Westbury but they seem to use different platforms ruling this out.   Any help would be appreciated.   Without trying to be cheeky I was wondering what the Diagrams (SX) were for the 2 Car 158s (soon to be 3 Cars I understand).   I have seen this question  asked on more than one Forum already but without a definite answer, just vague replies they wotk to here and there but without anything definite.    Thank you to a good Samaritan in anticipation.

22 32 Wetsbuty refers to the Bristol service forward.

Diagram SX is as follows.

Therefore you were correct in that it does attach at Westbury. However you are also correct that the booked platform for the attachments are planned incorrectly.

Does this unit really sit in some sidings at Gloucester from 00:50 to 17:35?

Yes it acts as a standby throughout the day.

Am I reading this right?  A I reading that the 16:49 Great Malvern to Southampton doesn't in fact convey through carriages from Great Malvern to Southampton ... but rather is a 16:49 Great Malvern to Westbury, and a 17:55 Gloucester to Southampton? which are combined for the middle part of their journey (presumably to strengthen the commuter train out of Gloucester)

That was my reading of the timings posted by 'insider' as well. And if memory serves I have witnessed an attachment of units at Gloucester.

To Confirm;

16:49 Great Malvern is formed of 1 x 153 to Gloucester, then an attachemnt at Gloucester of the "standby" 1 x 153 unit. Thus making a 2 car unit of 2 x 153 to Westbury.

They then split with 1 x 153 to Southampton to form 2120 back which then attaches to 2232 to Bristol TM and ends at St Phillips Marsh.

The other 1 x 153 shunts into sidings and then shunts back out to attach to 2038 to Bristol TM and then again ends at St Phillips Marsh.

Hello Insider.   Thanks for offer re diagrams  but still anxious as to 2 Coach 158s. Just an outline will be OK.  Thanks.    I know there will be changes because SWT Hire now working afternoon Brighton.

Calling Insider.  Are you yet able to enlighten me  re 2 Coach 158 Diagrams, please ?  Or is it just that there are not any during the transitional period until forming further 3 Coach Sets from them.   Thinking perhaps they are covering 150 diagrams.   Thanks in anticipation.

Referring to previous threads included in this topic, I hope nobody feels offended if I was to ask if there was a wall of silence re 2 Coach 158 Diagrams.   This has in the past cropped up on other Forums also without any definite answers.   Hope I'm not being too cheeky !!!
