It is, but personally I disagree with it being "commuter hell" yes you may be standing on a train for 25mins, but generally other than that the service is fine unless something really goes wrong.Between Paddington and Reading I have seen people choose to stand. I still really don't like that.. And it seems to happen on FGW.. I'm sure it happens on other train companies trains.. So I guess it could be totally unbiased if everyone tells them their stories.. We'll see... :)

Actually, the observation that people are inclined to view regular standing for 25 minutes as "normal" or "acceptable" is an interesting insight into the shortcomings of our advanced (?) economy and society. Generally try and give ITV a miss, perhaps BBC should jump on the bandwagon and provide a higher quality documentary.
