Title: Inequality between TOC's and regions and the BBC.... Post by: Mookiemoo on June 09, 2011, 23:02:18 Ok, I listen to R5 all the time - its the only radio station I listen to. Even in ireland I'm streaming it. My point is not an R5 one but just to point out that I'm not comparing local radio to national.
Twice in the last few weeks I have heard NATIONAL radio 5 announce signalling/other distruption out of waterloo. Even encouraging people to txt in. Not once, even in some of the really bad distruptions (I'm thinking Didcot November 2009 for example) have I ever heard FGW disruption covered. OR for that matter, east coast, etc etc - yes they get mentioned in the travel bulletins but not in "breaking news" in and around a non travel related program Unfair? Justified? If TOC out of Waterloo contact them, they may well decide to announce it as breaking news straight away. The travel desk is operated in a different studio where they have the same info as we get on bbc website, which almost certainly wouldnt be available to the on air studio, other than the travel ones Title: Re: Inequality between TOC's and regions and the BBC.... Title: Re: Inequality between TOC's and regions and the BBC.... Post by: inspector_blakey on June 10, 2011, 02:45:44 I avoid these issues by streaming Radio 4. Or Radio 1. Or 1 Extra.
Does that combination make me weird...? Title: Re: Inequality between TOC's and regions and the BBC....
