Title: Is there a bus link from bristol airport to temple meads?
Post by: Mookiemoo on May 30, 2011, 20:27:31
As fo wednesday I'm going to be working in kilkenny fo about five months - flying out monday, flying home friday.  Due to proximity to the airport at this end and the distance from dublin the other end I'm taking the truck over on the ferry on tuesday - taxi there and back if I don't have a lift at this end will be cheaper than airport parking especially when car hire added in.......

Anyway, point is, I land back at 0730 on saturday but need to get train up to old hunting ground of ludlow........ so is there a  bus from the airport to the station?  I'll just get train back to nailsea on way home and get cab from there so thats not an issue

Thank you

And wish me luck driving to  fishguard tomorrow - furthest I've driven in about 5 years!  I don't think ludlow to portishead beats it which was my last furthest drive when I moved

Mmm, trucks.

A bit of a guilty ambition of mine (hilariously unrealistic in my current job, admittedly) is to own an F150 at some point. Although if I ever did import it to the UK that could prove somewhat tricky. Especially if it cost that much on the bridge. And the other problem is that I cannot come up with a single reason that would justify me owning a full-size pickup (other than my own enjoyment) unless I was self-employed! But after driving a Silverado to Virginia and back (about 950 miles all told) a couple of months ago I'm hooked.

Oh well, I can dream...!

Turns out (to my slight relief, admittedly...) that Clarkson is not a fan (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/jeremy_clarkson/article434997.ece)...

Good to see you doing your bit for the environment.

Yep, the Titan's a beast. But I still prefer the F150...much better looking. Not really sure how well I'd fare with something that size in a supermarket car park in the UK though, I made enough of a hash of parking a truck in Walmart here despite the wide lanes and giant spaces.
