Title: Warning: Pad - Cornwall Bank Hol. Sat (28/05/11)
Post by: Sleepy on May 24, 2011, 13:31:31
:'( If you are heading West from London/Reading this Bank Hol. & half term Friday Pm or Sat. Am  and want a comfortable journey strongly advise reserving a seat NOW as many trains fully reserved in Std and few seats in 1st Class left (to avoid scrum for coach E !!)
:o Linked to this I see 1st Advance tickets Pad to Cornwall current price ^142 v Super Off Peak single ^51 + Weekend First ^20 = ^71 ? Do people really pay this much for an Advance at Weekends ! ( >:( >:(Is this partly why FGW are going to stop purchase of Weekend First prior to travel soon ?)

I have standards for the 0730 from PAD to penzance on sunday but was hoping we'd be able to do weeked first on the train

There is just two of us and since F is never reserved and I can't imagine a 2+7 going to penzance on bank holiday I was hoping for a seat in the buffet - well two seats

Do you mean Sunday ? my journey planner has 0800 as departure time ! If you meant Saturday The 0730 has seats available in Coach H at present. (Is there any danger of them using high density set do you think ?)
