Title: 19/05/2011 - 0923 Portsmouth-Cardiff Express!! Post by: Lee on May 19, 2011, 11:20:35 The 0923 Portsmouth-Cardiff service is just arriving into Salisbury, a little over half an hour late, and will no longer be calling at Warminster, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon and Bath Spa.
I just happen to be on this train, after quite a lengthy break from FGW travel..I look forward to a somewhat speedier look at the scenery en route to Bristol than I'm used to ;D Title: Re: 19/05/2011 - 0923 Portsmouth-Cardiff Express!! Post by: readytostart on May 19, 2011, 18:33:58 Apparently due to a shortage of shunters at St Phillips Marsh causing a delay to the stock for the outward journey. 19L off PMH, followed SWT stopper from FRM to SOU, further delayed due to a signal displaying no aspect at Warminster (W301), this being the first Westbury operated signal was placing the Salisbury area exit signal to red.
Train terminated short at NPT 40L. Title: Re: 19/05/2011 - 0923 Portsmouth-Cardiff Express!! Post by: devon_metro on May 19, 2011, 19:31:25 There were signalling problems between Salisbury - Warminster last Thursday too!
