Title: HST Refurbs Post by: tom on October 29, 2007, 12:40:27 Dear all,
I'm travelling to Bridgend on Wednesday and I was wondering if they had at seat power in standard class. I understand that in the new refurbished trains they have at seat power but is this also in standard class ??? Also, what are the chances of getting a refurbished HST? Do they have sockets in the older style carriages? Thanks Title: Re: HST Refurbs Post by: Tim on October 29, 2007, 13:14:00 The refurbished HSTs have power sockets in First and Standard. the old HST have it in neither.
I would say that you have a slightly better than even chance of getting a refurbished train, but allocationis fairly random at the. there are also some trains which are a mixuture of old and new so if you are in a non-refurbished coach it would be worth checking out the others. From what i see during the day, you're highly unlikely to be on a non refurb'd HST The majority of the ones that come through here tend to be refurbed, to an extent (varies from full sets to 3-4 cars refurbed) Title: Re: HST Refurbs Post by: Conner on October 29, 2007, 20:57:34 Most trains at least have one or two refurb coaches. Just go for the pink doors!

Main problem is the first class seats are now so uncomfortable its hard to get a decent sleep on the way into work This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway.
