Missing Bristol engineer Timothy Fenner may have been spotted in the Glastonbury area.

Police are investigating a possible sighting of the 49-year-old at 4.30pm on Friday in the Somerset town.

They have looked at CCTV covering Temple Meads train station and were due to look at CCTV from Castle Cary station this morning.

They are also checking CCTV footage of the last time he withdrew cash before he went missing.

BAE Systems engineer Mr Fenner was last seen at 12.30pm on Tuesday when he popped home from work in Filton to Apsley Road. Having recently moved from Pembroke Road with his partner of five years, Louise Davis, he had gone back to their old house to tie up some loose ends.

He then went to their new flat on Apsley Road to meet a burglar-alarm engineer about a fault, but the engineer had already been in to correct it.

Mr Fenner parked his black Saab car nearby, but has not been seen or heard from since and was reported missing at about 7.30pm that night. His car keys were left in a post tray in the hallway.

Last night Miss Davies, 46, told the Evening Post: "We are planning a leaflet drop in the Glastonbury area to see if anyone else has seen Tim. His best friends have been up over the weekend helping out, and police have been talking to bed and breakfasts in the area. I am emailing all the hotels round there with a poster ^ we hope this will help us find him."

She has also released a new photograph of her partner with glasses on, to see if it will jog anyone's memory.

Hundreds of posters are already in shop windows, on lampposts and trees around Bristol and The Mall, Cribbs Causeway.

Mr Fenner was last seen wearing beige corduroy trousers, a beige jumper with a zip and a black hip-length overcoat ^ not his work suit as initially thought. He is white, 6ft tall, of medium build. He grew up in Chichester and came to Bristol for his job, from Yeovil, about seven years ago.

Missing Bristol Man - In Yeovil?

Two possible witnesses are being urged to come forward.

Missing Bristol man, Tim Fenner, could be in the Yeovil area, according to his girlfriend.

Louise Davis has exclusively told us that two people have approached volunteers putting up posters around the town and said they might have seen him in the area.

The 49 year old, who has family links in the area and used to work at Westland, vanished from Clifton last Tuesday lunchtime.

Louise said: "We have been putting up posters in the Yeovil area. Two people have told us they've seen him in the country park and at Yeovil Train Station, but they didn't leave their details. We want them to come forward with more information and give us the dates and times he was seen."

Detective Inspector Ed Yaxley said: "It is one week since Timothy went missing and we are working hard to find him. Our priority is to make sure he is ok and I would appeal to anyone who has seen Timothy or knows his current whereabouts to get in touch with us."
