Quote DO YOU RECOGNISE THIS WOMAN? TRANSPORT POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION AFTER THEFT FROM ON BOARD TRAIN - SOMERSET British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the theft of a wallet from on board a train in Somerset. Officers have today released a CCTV image of the woman they believe will have information which can assist their enquiry into the incident which took place on board the 1800hrs Cardiff Central to Taunton service on Wednesday 12 January. PC Clive Ellaway, investigating officer, said: ^The victim had placed his wallet inside his coat pocket and then left the coat on his seat while he went to the toilet as the train was travelling between Highbridge and Burnham and Bridgwater stations. He later realised his wallet was missing and reported it to train staff who searched the train. Staff found the wallet on board and returned it to the passenger but a quantity of cash was missing from the wallet. ^Officers have viewed CCTV images from the train and would now like to speak to the woman in this photograph as we believe she will have information which can assist us. "BTP would like to remind passengers to keep wallets, purses and valuables with them at all times while travelling on the rail network."
