Title: Train delays between Oxford and Banbury after fatality - 7 February 2011 Post by: Chris from Nailsea on February 07, 2011, 18:37:40 From the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-12385662):
Quote Train passengers were faced with delays of up to an hour after a fatality on the line in Oxford. CrossCountry and First Great Western services between Oxford and Banbury were affected after the man was hit by a train in Kidlington earlier. British Transport Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious. Delays were reduced to about 15 minutes by 1600 GMT and all services are expected to return to normal shortly, First Great Western said. Paramedics attended the incident but the man, believed to be 36 years old and from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was struck by a Bournemouth to Manchester Piccadilly service.
