Out of area, but this will probably be an interesting one to follow as it is the first franchise re-tendering under the current government.

Will be very interesting in two ways for me. One, will Virgin stump up the big money that will be needed to retain the franchise or have they had enough of rail? Two, whoever does win, we they lengthen the remaining pendolinos from 9 to 11 carriages?
