One of the four journeys was ok, a few minutes late, the other three journeys combined to delay passengers by 75 minutes. I was under the impression that FGW was trying to improve things, but two train failures in success days is not good! Title: Re: Another Bad Day For Economy Klaus Post by: devon_metro on October 18, 2007, 16:32:28 Train failures aren't planned events though.
They could always not send the stock out and cancel a few trains? Title: Re: Another Bad Day For Economy Klaus Post by: simonw on October 18, 2007, 18:40:45 Train failures are never planned, well I hope not!
However, good maintenance regimes will minimise failures! FGW has spent a lot of money replacing all engines, so to suffer to failures that caused delays on successive days is not good, and I should be able to expect FGW to do better, or should I? Is it right that FGW should collect 400x^100=^40K(VERY APPROXIMATE GUESS) for a typical HST return journey, and those customers to have to suffer delays due to train failures?
