Title: Dear Santa, can we have a train for Christmas next year, please?
Post by: grahame on December 18, 2010, 17:58:45
I'm NOT expecting a quiet Christmas and New Year.  It's the quieter time of year for our business ... but that allows me to help put together a significant case from the community for where we should be heading on the TransWilts in the next year, five years and ten years.   Times have indeed changed ... we've got a very different local and national scene now than we had two years ago, and we should be using that new scene, which is streets ahead of the old one in supporting us, to have the Big Society work for - and regain, and retain, a TransWilts service than meets the needs of the traffic flows along the corridor, for the economic benefit of the people who live, learn and work along the way.

If you're on the TwCRP working group, there's a fuller post on that forum and details of meetings next week (yes - the week before Christmas) to move things along ... there are also some details there of the triggers, timescales, etc;   I'll provide an update here before the end of the year.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if Santa could bring us a more appropriate train service for Christmas next year?  Here he is on the TransWilts this year - 5th December, when he made the trip up to Swindon and back on the 17:21 ex Melksham (return by 18:45).
