Title: One Of Those Days - 15/12/2010
Post by: Lee on December 15, 2010, 08:07:46
Train faults, signalling problems and line obstructions are taking out services from locations as diverse as Falmouth, Weymouth and the Cotswolds (see http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=3602.msg81984#msg81984) this morning.

Hope FGW mission control have had their 3 Shredded Wheat this morning  ;D

Not forgetting the inability to get a cuppa and a bacon baguette on the 0740 Paignton - Paddington!

Wow that is a serious breakdown! Spoils the whole journey.

One of those days for me as well. Surly ATW staff at Newport (another topic for another day once I've had a response to my complaint) and a delay getting home.

1L66, the 1328 off Swansea to Pad only got as far as Cardiff where it was cancelled. Power car failure apparently. I was waiting for this service at Newport this afternoon - one of those ones where the delay minutes creep up and up before pax are finally told that it is cancelled. The next London bound service was nice and snug, obviously, but I still managed to get a seat! Slightly disappointed that we were only 21 late into Bristol Parkway, which meant the total delay to my journey was 52 minutes. Another 8 minutes and I've got half me fare back!
