Train services between Suffolk and Cambridgeshire were suspended because a car skidded off the road and on to a railway line.

The car left the road at Kennett, near Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, shortly after 1215 GMT on Thursday.

All National Express East Anglia services travelling between Ely, Bury St Edmunds, and Ipswich were affected.

A National Express spokesman said services returned to normal at about 1500 GMT.
