Title: Resignalling to Stratford-upon-Avon Post by: willc on October 29, 2010, 00:22:09 Not FGW land but connects with it via Banbury. The lines from Leamington Spa and Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon are closed all this week until Sunday for the commissioning of new signals controlled from Saltley in Birmingham, replacing old GWR boxes at Shirley, Henley-in-Arden (though this was switched out most of the time in recent years) and Bearley Junction (where the two routes meet north of Stratford). Track work has been taking place at the same time. Local photographer Peter Tandy has been out and about during recent days photographing activity, as well as recording the last day of the semaphores working at Henley.
