Title: A couple of interesting books
Post by: James Vertigan on September 19, 2010, 23:20:34
Returned yesterday from a week away in Shropshire, which included a trip to the Severn Valley Railway.

Picked up a couple of books in the gift shop which I thought may be of interest to people here, so I thought I'd share them, they should be available on the internet at reasonable prices if you're interested:

Paddington Station Through Time (John Christopher/Amberley Publishing) - very good pictures and information from the past and present - pretty up to date too as it includes pieces on the current Span Four work at the station.

Rail Atlas of Great Britain and Ireland - 12th Edition (S K Baker/Ian Allan Publishing - basically what it says on the tin.. er.. cover - includes maps for systems like London Underground as well. Very good for rail enthusiasts and maybe trainspotters too!
