Title: 2011 NR timetable data
Post by: paul7575 on September 06, 2010, 23:36:58
... appears to be loaded in FGW's public journey planner for those interested.  Just checked a few journeys for Dec 13th.

I see the new 2 hourly XC extensions to Southampton are there...

Does that mean that NR's shower of a new train planning system has finally been sorted out, or do those timetable data come with a health warning...?!

I think the main problems are short term planning stuff such as weekend engineering works - the main underlying timetable is fixed isn't it?

Yes, you'd think so, but weren't there various issues with trains that were part of the normal system simply not appearing in journey planners (threads passim e.g. here (http://www.firstgreatwestern.info/coffeeshop/index.php?topic=7091.0))?

Coincidentally, ORR have just today published their reports into what NR did wrong with the ITPS, and found them to be in breach of their licence.  Possibly up for another pointless fine I suppose...
