Title: Re: Five easy ones, perhaps? Post by: readytostart on August 30, 2010, 20:29:53 3. Corrour is pretty small, and probably the most remote with direct services to London. (I'm guessing that the may call is a hint to be looking for a request stop).
[Edited, was a numpty and put the wrong station in] Title: Re: Five easy ones, perhaps? Post by: eightf48544 on August 30, 2010, 20:40:28 Try the Summits:

Rannoch as 1,350 ft. Next would be Dent, at 1,150 ft? Title: Re: Five easy ones, perhaps? Post by: grahame on August 30, 2010, 20:54:00 Yes ... I think they were quite easy ones ... and all the answers are correct (or at least the answers I expected). I wasn't aware of the other "Platform 0"s outside our area, I'll admit ... and I should have defined "smallest" better. I suspect that Corrour station is also higher that Dalwhinnie and Dent (and it was the one I was thinking of for "smallest"; certainly most remote and the hint was indeed towards a request stop - but the other suggestions are good).
Title: Re: Five easy ones, perhaps? Post by: eightf48544 on August 31, 2010, 15:49:28 I would suggest Roy Bridge is smaller than Corrour as it is a single platform whereas Corrour is a loop, although both are RETB token change points.
It also seems to be served by the sleeper as per Nationalrail Enquiries. Roy Bridge [RYB] to London [All Stations] - Tuesday 31 August 2010 Departing Arriving Duration Changes 20:17 07:47 11h 30m 0 Please note: Roy Bridge station is a request stop If travelling, please inform the conductor/driver if you wish to stop at this station.
