Title: Journeys You Can Do with a Travelcard
Post by: eightf48544 on August 30, 2010, 00:27:19
My recent journeys in London made on the same day were:
FGW
Tube (1 change),
Bus break of journey,
Bus
Overground,
DLR,
Overground,
Tramlink,
Southern,
Tube (1 change) break of journey
Tube.
FGW

All on a Senior Travelcard

The first three could be anywhere, but you might be able to work out where I started my Oveground journey if I say it was from a newly reopened station currently a terminus.
Where I picked up the DLR (an out and back run, to the end staion of 23 minutes each way) very heavily used both ways by people with suitecases to an intermediate  station?
My second Overground journey?
My tramlink journey?
Where I picked up the Southern train?
My next tube journey, if I say after I changed I was on the same line as my final tube journey?

You might even be able to get my final break of journey if I say the real alebar was under the same roof as the top of the escalators.

Was the first Overground journey - Dalston junction to Shadwell?

DLR & second overground journey make sense as well

Shadwell to Woolwich Arsenal via City Airport & return?

The next two I'll leave as I'm assuming the 'one answer in the first 24 hours' applies?

Both right

Dalston Junction to Shadwell.

Shadwell to Woolwich Arsenal and return. Reference was to City Airport which is right by the line.

So were are now at Shadwell for another Overground journey. Should be fairly easy with next link.

West Croydon to East Croydon on Tramlink?

(It's just the sort of thing I did on the first day of ELL operations...)   ::)

Both right, so we are at East Croydon

To give you a clue it took 50 minutes from stepping off the train at West Croydon to get my Real Ale Stop.

Real Ale, the nectar of the gods, if well made, kept and served of course.

We ever going to find out the answer?

Got no idea but at a possible guess West Croydon - London Bridge (Southern), London Bridge - Waterloo - Oxford Circus (Jubilee, Bakerloo), break at Argyll Arms, Oxford Circus - Paddington (Bakerloo)

West Croydon to Marylebone.

Walk roung the corner and catch a tram to East Croydon, fast Victoria then Victoria line to Oxford Circus. Bakerloo to Marylebone 50 minutes!
