Title: Quick travelcard question
Post by: argg on August 25, 2010, 13:41:59
Taking my son to London tomorrow and will purchase a discounted travelcard for him (using my GoldCard)

When is the earliest I could start the journey (from Twyford) on that ticket?  I seem to recall it being the first train to arrive in London after 9.30 - is this correct? (I don't need exact train times just the principle)

Silly question I know, but want to maximise the time.

(I promise not to travel back during evening peak!!)

Many thanks

By any train scheduled to arrive London Terminals or Kensington Olympia at or after 1000.

So first train from Twy would be 09:09

According to National Rail Enquiries (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/season_tickets/GC_TandC_May10.pdf), Goldcard discounts are only available for travel 'from 10.00 on Mondays to Fridays', so your first valid service is the 1009.
