Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on August 22, 2010, 18:15:03 Jubilee River? :-\
Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: gwr2006 on August 22, 2010, 18:49:21 The train is on the Slough-Windsor branch and has just crossed Chalvey Bridge over the Jubilee River near Datchet.
The River was built as part of the Maidenhead, Windsor and Eton Flood Alleviation Scheme but has been beset with problems ever sine it was opened! Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: Electric train on August 22, 2010, 20:26:32 I'll have to get more cryptic with my photos ;D tis the Slough Windsor line and the Jubilee river (better known as the Maidenhead flood alleviation ditch) the bridge is nearer Eton than Datchet though
Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: eightf48544 on August 23, 2010, 11:57:46 You could make it harder by asking which way the train was going.
I'll guess towrds Slough as one usually photographs the front of a train. Although you could have been crafty and photgraphed the rear coach. Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on August 23, 2010, 14:27:08 Simple question where is this train, oh and name the river When I first saw this topic, I misread it that we were being asked to name the driver - that's a bit severe, for a question in 'the lighter side', I thought! :o Here's another simple question: where is this train, and which way is it going? ;D (http://a.imageshack.us/img178/9416/016oe.jpg) (http://img178.imageshack.us/i/016oe.jpg/) Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: IndustryInsider on August 23, 2010, 14:39:12 Looks rather like Pangbourne to me. With a train heading either west or east!
Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on August 23, 2010, 14:47:16 Pangbourne it is! And here's a clue - this is the previous picture on my camera:

Otherwise it's Oxford on the Down Main. Title: Re: where is this train? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on August 23, 2010, 15:45:51 Train was departing from Pangbourne towards Tilehurst, last Saturday - pictures taken in a bit of a rush, as we were just going into The Swan for lunch at the time - hence I missed the front of the train! :P
