DO YOU KNOW THIS WOMAN? CCTV IMAGES RELEASED AFTER THEFT OF PASSENGER'S PROPERTY - BRISTOL TEMPLE MEADS

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for the public^s help to identify a woman they want to speak to in connection with the theft of a passenger^s property at Bristol Temple Meads rail station.

Officers have today released CCTV images of a woman they believe can help with their enquiries into the incident which took place on Tuesday 3 August.

At about 1.40pm on Tuesday 3 August, the victim, a 54-year-old tourist from New Zealand, was unloading her luggage from a car at Temple Meads rail station when she discovered her handbag had been taken from the pavement.

The handbag was discovered a short time later at the rear of the WH Smith shop in the booking hall area of the station but ^600 had been taken from the victim^s purse which was left on top of the handbag.

Detective Constable Danny Murphy said: ^This was a despicable theft of property from a woman visiting the UK from New Zealand for a family wedding. Enquiries are ongoing and after viewing CCTV from the WH Smith store, we have identified a woman we would like to trace as we believe she can assist us with our investigation. I would urge anyone who recognises the woman in these CCTV images to contact BTP straight away.^
