Why is the closure of the same lines at the same time of year required EVERY year for the past three or four?  Do it properly once, and surely it could last?!

I notice the Falmouth branch is closed for 2 weeks, not one week like all the others, this is to re lay a load of track, long welded rail has been dropped in places on the branch to replace the nackered bull head rail.

Well lets wait and see what happens during the Gunnislake closure, theres new rail and steel sleepers just north of Bere Ferrers but they've been there for years and are now so entangled with brambles/bushes you cant tell they are there!! So more than likely will be the case of saw a tree down and replace a couple lengths of rail sumwhere. Its hardly enough to justify the inconvience to passengers year after year, especially on a route where the replacement road transport is poor and many intermediate journeys on the branch are not possible...

All these Branch Closure's for a week or Two. Only Seems to happen in the South West, and it's not like it's 24 hour working It's not, what's wrong with working Nights, keeping trains running during the Day.

They do often work at nights, but the amount of work actually done could probably be done in an hour...
