Is there any evidence the damage in the town was caused by travellers? It is true the padlock onto Bowerhill playing field 'fell off' and they did leave several skips worth of assorted c**p. A bit of an exaggeration to say the fields were wrecked though. Thanks to the efforts of local council the pitches were back in use by the end of Monday.Not that the existence of travellers next to Trowbridge station makes it OK for 'enthusiasts' to hurl empty beer bottles from moving trains (18:44 from Trowbridge to Bristol) at their caravans and into the car park. Goes without saying that this action could have caused serious injury to anyone on the receiving end apart from setting an extremely poor example.
