Insulting to Concorde; looks utterly ridiculous, let alone entirely impractical.

Would you like me to move this topic to 'the lighter side', then?

Chris  ;D

"....like Concorde, the Spitfire or the Routemaster bus......"

So.... a very fast, piston engined train with twin machine guns and one open platform for passengers to embark/disembark.  ;D

Huh...very pretty, but why?...to Birmingham, wow
It's only going to drain all resources from every other public transport scheme in the country...just like Crossrail!! :o

Perhaps this should move to the lighter side or smoke and mirrors.

Being double deck it will be confined to HS2 proper (assumming it can get into Euston) it won't be able to go North of Birmingham and won't be able to link with HS1 unless Primrose Hill tunnel is considerably enlarged.

Nothing too radical, looks like an updated version of the Swiss stock introduced with Rail2000.

Of perhaps as expensive as concorde, as upcomfortable as a Spitfire and as slow as a bus.

The designer's main claim to fame seems to be the Pendolino.

Who the heck would put that on their CV if they wanted to impress people...   ???
