Title: SWT Salisbury and beyond
Post by: bigdaz on July 11, 2010, 07:18:50
I know this is technically a FGW board, none the less with some crossover of boundaries I hope you might indulge me...

I believe SWT are planning to have some additional stops on their Salisbury/Exeter service at Farnborough for the biannual airshow.

I cannot understand why this cannot happen more often, to open up the South West Artery for customers from Farnborough and the surrounding area without having to change at Basingstoke.  There are fast to slow crossovers either side of the station, so it wouldn't overly increase journey times and paths should be ok.

As far as I can see from NRE the 8.21 and 9.21 off Salisbury will be stopping at Farnborough, along with returns off Farnborough at 16:56 and 17:56.
