Title: Changes to train times this week?
Post by: johoare on June 30, 2010, 23:24:48
When I was checking train times home earlier (due to the disruption) I was quite worried to see that the 19.06 fast train to Maidenhead seemed to have become the 19.12... It's still a fast train and not that much later.. What worried me (at the time) was how I'd managed to miss a timetable alteration like this..

However I've just had time to look further and from next week the 19.06 is back..

So.. I'm guessing.. it's something to do with the Henley Regatta and extra/retimed trains? Does anyone know? Was it advertised anywhere as that was the first I'd seen of it?  :)

To do with the regatta from what I can tell.

It is listed as 19:12 for Henley in the leaflet that was produced and online: http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk/Content.aspx?id=5038

Thanks Ollie.. I don't think that was made particularly public (on posters at Paddington for example) but it might have been and I missed it.. Also I don't think I got the 19.06 last week so maybe people on the train those days were given leaflets to tell them about it..oh well.. back to normal next week :-)

Yeah not sure how well it was to be honest :) I know leaflets are definitely out there as I've seen them on my travels, but I tend not to look for posters.
