Title: Smart Cards
Post by: RailCornwall on June 24, 2010, 09:45:36
How are the developments going for the Nationwide Smart Card scheme proposed sometime ago? Haven't seen anything for well over twelve months, although I admit I could have missed any number of articles.

Think you mean ITSO?

SWT have one which they are gradually introducing as per their franchise agreement, and London Midland is introducing a type of card call the Key.

Can't find anything on SWT website about it..

Slowly.

The main elephant in the room is Oyster particularly PAYG for TOC run stations out to Boundary Zone 6.

DaFT want all cards to be ITSO compliant and Oyster isn't, although I believe the latest readers can read both ITSO and Oyster.
