Title: New Help Point at Taplow
Post by: eightf48544 on June 22, 2010, 08:25:57
Taplow Rail user Group would like to thank FGW for installing and commisioning a new Help Point of Platform 4.

It is a big round white one with two buttons one for Information and one for Emergency.

Talking to the commisoners the emergency button goes through to a special call centre in the UK who specialise in handling emergency calls and contacting the various services. They apparently get the station name dispalyed when you call in case you lose contact.

Train information still comes form India!

We await a similar one on Platform 3 but this cannot be installed until NetworkRail repair the leaking gutter above otherwise it would be shorted out in the first shower.
