There were a number of 47/0 painted in Brunswick green and a rake of Mk1 coaches in chocolate and cream for the 150th GWR anniversary, Hanwell station was also refurbished to GWR stylee

47500 was painted so and named Great Western.
50007 Hercules was also painted and re named Sir Edward Elgar

There are those who would have you believe that locomotives painted in Great Western livery never go wrong. Clearly they have not kept up with 6024's antics over the last couple of years ;)

It looks great, so much better than many of the garish liveries we've had on British railways since privatisation.

47500 was painted so and named Great Western.

There's one "Great Western" numbered D1748 (pre-TOPS style?) in BR two-tone green, for the past couple of weeks parked up in the yard near Temple Meads.
