Title: Getting away from Wembley after a concert - advice on routes please.... Post by: Mookiemoo on June 17, 2010, 13:11:20 Going to see Green Day at Wembley on saturday. The plan is for me to stay in a hotel on saturday night (I'm also seeing Bon Jovi on Sunday at the O2) and for a certain person to return to his car and drive home.
When we've been to the American football games we've chosen Reading however the concert is not scheduled to finish until 11pm so I'm thinking getting back to Reading at that time will be a bit of a drag. Someone else has suggested Harrow whilst I was thinking High Wycomb just not sure what the train services are like Title: Re: Getting away from Wembley after a concert - advice on routes please.... Post by: IndustryInsider on June 17, 2010, 13:28:57 Guess it depends where the hotel is! BUT, High Wycombe is difficult to beat. Plenty of parking, just off the M40 and Wembley Stadium station is the quickest/easiest of the stations to get to the actual stadium from. There's also 8 trains after 11pm, so no worries about rushing for the last train.
Weekend timetable (trains stopping additionally), here: http://mainline.chilternrailways.co.uk/files/pdfs/1275909051SAT%2019%20JUN%2010%20JOINT.pdf (http://mainline.chilternrailways.co.uk/files/pdfs/1275909051SAT%2019%20JUN%2010%20JOINT.pdf) Title: Re: Getting away from Wembley after a concert - advice on routes please....
