Title: Plymouth Community Rail Festival Post by: James158 on June 15, 2010, 15:45:32 I wish the Plymouth Community Rail Festival was taking place this year. It was very good in 2008 but takes place only once. You could sit in the drivers cab in a class 153 and a HST and sound the horn. They had stands giving away pens, keyrings and leaflets. They also had a modern modal railway with HST's and CrossCountry trains. The event was FREE and took place at Plymouth Railway Station.

Paul Bigland has some photos of the event on his fotopic website: http://paulbigland.fotopic.net/c1582396.html Title: Re: Plymouth Community Rail Festival Post by: James158 on June 15, 2010, 19:33:57 It's organised by ACORP, and the location is varied throughout the country each year, so different people from different areas can attend. Any idea where it is taking place this year? Google can be very useful for finding stuff on the internet, you know ;) Title: Re: Plymouth Community Rail Festival Post by: James158 on June 15, 2010, 21:16:53 Just a thought, but here might be a good place to look: http://www.acorp.uk.com (http://www.acorp.uk.com).
