Title: Re: Any idea where this is? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on June 13, 2010, 00:27:17 Well done! And the year it was taken? ;)
Title: Re: Any idea where this is? Post by: JayMac on June 13, 2010, 03:04:02 I'd say it was taken prior to closure, so maybe 1965/66. It was also around that time that the 'double arrow' BR logo seen in the photo was introduced.
Title: Re: Any idea where this is? Post by: Chris from Nailsea on June 13, 2010, 18:20:14 Well done, again: that picture was taken in 1964, we believe!
Apparently, Melksham was one of the very first stations to be rebranded with the 'double arrow' logo. Oh, the irony! :) This page is printed from the "Coffee Shop" forum at http://gwr.passenger.chat which is provided by a customer of Great Western Railway.
