Just thought if I missed the 10.40 blip from Truro to Padd, what the next civilised train would be...plainly not that one. ;D

I've occasionally seen a 150 operate the Great Malvern to Brighton services. The entire journey is 5hrs and 23mins.Title: Re: Penzance to Newton Abbot Post by: caliwag on May 26, 2010, 15:15:36 Hell's teeth...10 more years of that now that the cuts have been announced ::). Any 150 fans out there...mind and pack a picnic and hip flask! ;D
Title: Re: Penzance to Newton Abbot Post by: IndustryInsider on May 26, 2010, 15:51:27 It also shows just how hard these units are worked. In that whole day there's only one decent layover of just over an hour at Penzance.

Having missed the 10.44 in February, I did indeed get the 11.53...dreadful journey...stuffed to the gunnels, smelly and generally uncomfortable. Moral is to not miss the 10.44. When travelling to York from Falmouth, the 10.44 to Pad is the best option. No, I do not want to spend 6+ hours being shaken to a jelly with an underbody engine!!! Cascades in 2028 peeps >:(
