Title: Train delays in Berkshire over ticket machine damage (20 May 2010)
Post by: Chris from Nailsea on May 20, 2010, 20:46:51
From the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/berkshire/8693779.stm):

Quote
Rail passengers across Berkshire faced delays earlier after several ticket machines were vandalised.
Machines at stations in Bracknell, Twyford and Langley, as well as Henley in Oxfordshire, were damaged overnight.
Passengers in the morning rush-hour were delayed at ticket offices at the affected stations while staff worked to take fares.
Officers from British Transport Police were called and are carrying out investigations into the damage.

Here is the machine at Henley:

I've had to downsize the picture, but on the original you can clearly see the sticker that shows cash not being accepted at ticket machines due to vandalism!

Here at Littlehaven, the machine on the access path to the up platform has been OOU for several days, covered in red/white tape and marked "Crime Scene - do not use".
