Title: French trains delayed by nurses on the line
Post by: Chris from Nailsea on May 19, 2010, 21:01:04
From the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8691068.stm):

Quote
A sit-in by nurses on Parisian train tracks ended in clashes between protesters and police.
Rail traffic between Paris and western France was brought to a grinding halt by several hundred specialised nurses staging protest on the tracks, pressing claims for a greater recognition of their work.
Police forcibly removed the demonstrators but trains were delayed by around 90 minutes.

Over here we get hairy truckers protesting. In France they get nurses. No wonder more and more people are emigrating!
