Title: A bad end to Andrews first day Post by: martyjon on September 24, 2007, 19:13:24 Well today was the new man at the top of FGW first day but it has ended on a low note.
17:30 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads due 19:10 This train has been cancelled. This is due to a train fault. 18:30 London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads due 20:16 This train has been cancelled. This is due to an earlier train fault. Two peak hour services cancelled, hope for better things tomorrow maybe but at least the 0710 BRI - PAD ran this morning, should have pleased the customers at Bristol Parkway this morning. There is so much to do to turn this company around but needs investment from First because it wont be coming from Dft. Do you think he took the job on with some sort of financial assurance from First that more money would be forthcoming? He won't want his successful railway career to come to a shuddering halt as the MD of FGW.
