BTP RELEASES CCTV IMAGE FOLLOWING STAFF ASSAULT ^ WESTBURY

British Transport Police (BTP) officers released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with an assault on a member of staff at Westbury rail station.
The incident took place on the platform at Westbury station around 5.36pm on Thursday, 25 March 2010.
PC Anthony Watt, the investigating officer, said that the incident happened as the 2.51pm Great Western Service from Great Malvern to Weymouth arrived at Westbury.
^Whilst onboard the train, the ticket inspector sold the man a ticket that was valid to Trowbridge.
^On passing Trowbridge, the ticket inspector noticed that the toilet was engaged. When the train arrived at Westbury the inspector called a colleague to assist, and opened the toilet door.
^The man was inside the cubicle, and was told that his ticket was no longer valid and he was to leave the train.
"After doing so he tried to re-board further along the platform, however the ticket inspector noticed and told him to leave once again.^
As the man left he pushed past the ticket inspector and elbowed him in the stomach before making off out of the station.
PC Watt added: ^This was an unnecessary and unprovoked assault on a man who was simply trying to do his job.^
